MiniCOLOR-1 is a single channel VDR purposely designed to work jointly with DigiMATRIX.16CL
When you use these two equipment, you can obtain a system that allows to record 16 cameras and to have 2 or 3 additional fully independents auxiliary digital outputsthat can display full screen pictures or multiscreen pictures; you will have 2 auxiliary outputs if you connect the equipment on LAN but if you do not use this feature you can have 3 auxiliary outputs.
In fact, when you use this solution, DigiMATRIX add to its output a special code that transfers to the VDR all necessary information in order to ensure the correct recording operation (camera number, stop and start of recording operation, recording rate, alarms , activity detection).
